I’m pleased to have this opportunity to tell you how pleased I am with both my Graber cordless shades and my Hunter Duette shades.
The kitchen and sitting area get blazing sun all day, with windows facing east, south, and west. In the summer, I close and open them as the sun moves around the house. When I open them, heat pours out into the room, having been trapped between the window and shade. They’re very effective at keeping the sun’s heat from coming into the room. In the cooler seasons, the shades remain up all day so we can enjoy the view out all those windows.
In our master bedroom, the Hunter shades serve several purposes. At night, they provide room darkening privacy. In the morning with bright sun coming in, they remain either down to block the sun or in their translucent mode to filter the sun. When the sun moves around the house, they’re open all the way to allow the view of the woods behind us. Two of the shades face a neighbor’s home and are usually in the translucent mode during the day, with the netted material providing privacy yet allowing in light. I love having all these options.
Looking back on the decisions I made for all our window coverings, you guided me toward the best decisions I could have made. Thank you.
